When did the News Media Stop Reporting the News?

According to Captains Quarters, the news media stopped reporting facts and started applying their own biases more than 40 years ago. Sounds about right to me.

Capitalism at Work in Iraq

News out of Baghdad is that Iraqi merchants are holding Syria accountable for sending suicide bombers into their country to blow up Iraqis, and the merchants are boycotting Syrian goods. The Saudis and Iranians had better hope that this sudden outbreak of sanity doesn't catch on.

A Fatwa against Al Qaida

Spanish clerics issued a fatwa against bin Laden and al Qaida on the anniversary of the March 11 Madrid train bombings. Why didn't the clerics in U.S. mosques issue a similar fatwa after 9/11? Are they brain dead, or do they approve of the mass murder of their neighbors? Inquiring minds want to know!
