The problem isn't just that he tried to push through his piece of shit amnesty bill TWICE before against the wishes of the vast majority of Americans (and not just republicans). Amending the Constitution to make naturalized foreign-born Americans eligible to be President of this country is an idea typically put forward by liberals (e.g., Chris Mathews during the first Republican debate on MSNBC, 5/3/07) and it is usually couched in terms of allowing people like Arnold Schwarzenegger or Mel Martinez, two popular Republican politicians, to run for President. Conservatives don’t generally like the idea because it is, well, unconservative. Liberals seem to like the idea, with good reason from their point of view. They know that foreign nationals support them over Republicans. The U.S. population is about 5% of global population, and many if not most people in foreign countries believe that political and financial economics are zero sum games, hence they tend to think that what is good for America is bad for them, and vice versa. This explains much of why almost everything the Democrats propose (cut military spending, surrender in Iraq, close Gitmo, open borders, socialize healthcare, don’t fix Social Security, be nice to anti-American Venezuela and mean to pro-American Colombia, etc.) is bad for America. When liberals throw up this idea to amend the Constitution to allow prominent Republicans to run for leadership posts, you just know there has to be an ulterior motive. What foreign-born national do they want to run for President? In this case, the hidden agenda is easy to see – just look at who is pulling the strings. Who gives the most money to Democrats and their various mouthpieces like Moveon.org and Media Matters? That’s right, I’m talking about George Soros.

If Schwarzenegger could run, then so could Soros. And Soros has a lot more money than Schwarzenegger. Billionaire George Soros has vowed to spend his “entire fortune” to get a government that only enacts policies he likes. He spent tens of millions of dollars on the 2004 and 2006 elections. He did fail to get Kerry elected in 2004, but succeeded in getting Democratic majorities in 2006. The man already pretty much owns the Democratic party, but he’s pissed that he has to stay behind the curtain. He intends to be ruler of the most powerful nation on Earth, yet liberals and French people call him a philanthropist (I know a lot of liberals and French people, so I am speaking from experience here). You might say that he’s just like any other American – he wants what is best for his country and is allowed to spend his money how he wants. No one is saying he can't spend his money how he wants, but before allowing his media outlets to persuade you, at least consider how he is spending that money. He described his trading strategy on the 1980s, when he ‘earned’ his billions, as taking advantage of predictable crowd behavior. He is doing the same now, but worse. Now he is trying to control crowd behavior by changing our perceptions of reality – by rewriting history, stopping important facts from coming to light (e.g., via Media Matters) while amplifying the things that support his goals (e.g., via Moveon.org). The man does not care about humanity. Just consider his answers during a 60 Minutes interview in which he talked about his experience when his “character was made” in Budapest when the Nazis were in charge:

...there was no sense that I shouldn't be there, because that was–well, actually, in a funny way, it's just like in markets–that if I weren't there–of course, I wasn't doing it, but somebody else would–would–would be taking it away anyhow. And it was the–whether I was there or not, I was only a spectator, the property was being taken away. So the–I had no role in taking away that property. So I had no sense of guilt.

Where was he? He, a Jew, was working with the Nazis in taking away his fellow Jews’ property as they, not he (thanks to forged documents provided by his father), were sent off to concentration camps to die, and he’s saying he has absolutely no sense of guilt. He literally has no shame. He calls Bush a Nazi when he himself actually worked with the Nazis to steal his fellow Jews’ property. Look up the word hypocrite in the dictionary and there should be a picture of George Soros. This man’s character, as he himself has stated, is defined by benefiting from other people’s, his own people’s, misery. Anyone who thinks that Soros has the best interests of the U.S. is a fool. At a minimum, we can say that he is NOT a humanitarian – can we at least agree on that much? In recent years, he has time and time again sided with America’s adversaries. So, why are we allowing this man to have influence over our government? Why do we give any credibility at all to the people he supports financially? (Hillary, I’m talking about you. You too, Barak.) I know he has a lot of money, but money can’t change facts. What it can do though, is make it unlikely that anyone is around to hear when a tree falls in the forest.

2-- Mary Mahoney -- A former White House intern was murdered July 1997 at a Starbucks Coffee Shop in Georgetown. The murder happened just after she was to go public with her story of sexual harassment in the White House.

3-- Vince Foster -- Former Wite House councilor, and colleague of Hillary Clinton at Little Rock's Rose Law firm. Died of a gunshot wound to the head, ruled a suicide.

4-- Ron Brown -- Secretary of Commerce and former DNC Chairman. Reported to have died by impact in a plane crash. A pathologist close to the investigation reported that there was a hole in the top of Brown's skull resembling a gunshot wound. At the time of his death Brown was being investigated, and spoke publicly of his willingness to cut a deal with prosecutors. The rest of the people on the plane also died. A few days later the air Traffic controller commited suicide.

5-- C. Victor Raiser II-- Raiser, a major player in the Clinton fund raising organization died in a private plane crash in July 1992.

6-- Paul Tulley -- Democratic National Committee Political Director found dead in a hotel room in Little Rock, September 1992. Described by Clinton as a "Dear friend and trusted advisor".

7-- Ed Willey -- Clinton fund raiser, found dead November 1993 deep in the woods in VA of a gunshot wound to the head. Ruled a suicide. Ed Willey died on the same day his wife Kathleen Willey claimed Bill Clinton groped her in the oval office in the White House. Ed Willey was involved in several Clinton fund raising events.

8-- Jerry Parks -- Head of Clinton's gubernatorial security team in Little Rock. Gunned down in his car at a deserted intersection outside Little Rock. Park's son said his father was building a dossier on Clinton. He allegedly threatened to reveal this information. After he died the files were mysteriously removed from his house.

9-- James Bunch -- Died from a gunshot suicide. It was reported that he had a "Black Book" of people which contained names of influential people who visited prostitutes in Texas and Arkansas.

10-- James Wilson -- Was found dead in May 1993 from an apparent hanging suicide. He was reported to have ties to Whitewater.

11-- Kathy Ferguson -- Ex-wife of Arkansas Trooper Danny Ferguson, was found dead in May 1994, in her living room with a gunshot to her head. It was ruled a suicide even though there were several packed suitcases, as if she were going somewhere. Danny Ferguson was a co-defendant along with Bill Clinton in the Paula Jones lawsuit. Kathy Ferguson was a possible corroborating witness for Paula Jones.

12-- Bill Shelton -- Arkansas State Trooper and fiancee of Kathy Ferguson. Critical of the suicide ruling of his fiancee, he was found dead in June, 1994 of a gunshot wound also ruled a suicide at the grave site of his fiancee.

13-- Gandy Baugh -- Attorney for Clinton's friend Dan Lassater, died by jumping out a window of a tall building January, 1994. His client was a convicted drug distributor.

14--Florence Martin -- Accountant & sub-contractor for the CIA, was related to the Barry Seal Mena Airport drug smuggling case. He died of three gunshot wounds.

15-- Suzanne Coleman -- Reportedly had an affair with Clinton when he was Arkansas Attorney General. Died of a gunshot wound to the back of the head, ruled a suicide. Was pregnant at the time of her death.

16-- Paula Grober -- Clinton's speech interpreter for the deaf from 1978 until her death December 9, 1992. She died in a one car accident.

17-- Danny Casolaro -- Investigative reporter. Investigating Mena Airport and Arkansas Development Finance Authority. He slit his wrists, apparently, in the middle of his investigation.

18-- Paul Wilcher -- Attorney investigating corruption at Mena Airport with Casolaro and the 1980 "October Surprise" was found dead on a toilet June 22, 1993 in his Washington DC apartment. Had delivered a report to Janet Reno 3 weeks before his death.

19-- Jon Parnell Walker -- Whitewater investigator for Resolution Trust Corp. Jumped to his death from his Arlington, Virginia apartment balcony August 15, 1993. He was investigating the Morgan Guaranty scandal.

20-- Barbara Wise -- Commerce Department staffer. Worked closely with Ron Brown and John Huang. Cause of death unknown. Died November 29, 1996. Her bruised, nude body was found locked in her office at the Department of Commerce.

21-- Charles Meissner --Assistant Secretary of Commerce who gave John Huang special security clearance, died shortly thereafter in a small plane crash.

22-- Dr. Stanley Heard -- Chairman of the National Chiropractic Health Care Advisory Committee died with his attorney Steve Dickson in a small plane crash. Dr. Heard, in addition to serving on Clinton's advisory council personally treated Clinton's mother, stepfather and brother.

23-- Barry Seal --Drug running pilot out of Mena Arkansas, death was no accident.

27-- Kevin Ives & Don Henry -- Known as "The boys on the track" case. Reports say the boys may have stumbled upon the Mena Arkansas airport drug operation. A controversial case, the initial report of death said, due to falling asleep on railroad tracks. Later reports claim the 2 boys had been slain before being placed on the tracks. Many linked to the case died before their testimony could come before a Grand Jury.

Don’t bother standing up or clapping, any of you. I already know who won the election, and I know how you feel.
I come before you tonight not to make amends, not to make it good, curry any favor or find any middle ground.

I am, more or less, a lame duck. You’ve had your 100 hours of party time. I know. I won’t get any legislation passed without some major bottom-kissing. Maybe something on illegal aliens. That health insurance thing I’ll be talking about later tonight is pretty much for show. I know it isn’t going anywhere. A proposal to raise middle-class taxes for a healthcare plan you don’t even want? What was I thinking?
None of that really matters. Not now. Those are peacetime issues we’ve been bickering about for a long time, and I don’t expect we’ll resolve them anytime soon.
So what is the best thing I can do tonight? I can tell you the truth. What none of you want to hear. What you’ve been stopping your ears to. The ugly truth.
The State of the Union is a disaster. I did my best, but I made mistakes, and my best wasn’t good enough.

We went to war without building up our army, and now, I am trying to make up for that.
But that is not the disaster.
The disaster is that you, Congress and the American people, do not care to fight.

Faced with a fundamental challenge to our own security, to everything we believe in, to the world order to peace and security for which we and our parents fought so hard for so many years, you now want to pretend like none of these threats are real. You want to surrender to the evil I have been telling you about. An evil that, unchecked, can consume large parts of the world and threatens to usher in a dark age.
You didn’t like it when I talked about evil. Sounded too simple, too uncompromising, too moralistic. Too … biblical.

I don’t know what else you call people who fly passenger jets into office buildings; who rape women in front of their husbands and children, and execute their opponents in acid baths; who seek to spread tyrannical and archaic religious regimes that enslave women and stifle fundamental freedoms. Who want to dominate the world’s primary oil fields with nuclear weapons.
I call it evil. Works for me.

I’ve heard all the comparisons between Iraq and Vietnam. George Bush’s Vietnam. The myopia is astonishing, even for me, George Bush, who you all think just isn’t that smart. But I learned something in school: People who don’t learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

Didn’t you learn anything from Vietnam? Didn’t you see what happened when your predecessors in Congress, disgruntled and responding to public opinion polls just like you are, voted repeatedly to undermine an ally that was fighting for its survival and making headway against evil? There, I’ve said it again. Millions of people were murdered or imprisoned.
And then, those who wished us ill … the evil-doers … evil, evil evil … took advantage of our weakness.

The Soviet Union, evil personified, invaded Afghanistan, knowing we’d do nothing about it. Iran defied all international norms, took our sovereign embassy and held our people hostage for 444 days. They knew we’d do nothing about it. It was a massive humiliation we have been paying for with our own precious blood ever since.

Where do you think this war we are now engaged in started, anyway? Just ask Osama bin Laden, veteran of the Afghan war against the Soviets, what lesson he learned from two decades of American appeasement and withdrawal in the face of provocation.
Now, you want to negotiate with two of the world’s primary sponsors of terrorism, who are directly involved in support of the terrorists who murder our soldiers. You want to make an arrangement by which we will exit Iraq, and leave it to them. To loot, to murder, to fight over, while the rest of the world’s evil regimes look on, see our weakness, and plot their own moves.

You can try that, with resolutions, by cutting spending for troops in the field, as you seek the short-term satisfaction of withdrawal. But I remain President of the United States, and as long as I am, I will be no lame duck in this fight.

I will engage evil directly where I find it, in Iraq and in Iran. With an aggressive and ruthless new strategy and a plan to build our army as we should have a long time ago, I will show the American people that we can fight and we can win. I expect that the American people, though misled by their press and many of their elected representatives, will see results and will get it. Because the American people are a people who in the end don’t give up, don’t stop fighting, refuse to lose, and will choose to win. I have faith in them.
Oh, there’s another one of those words you don’t like.

A nation that is not willing to fight for what it believes in, for its place in the world, is not worthy of its own ideals. But that is not America. I now intend to help America restore its faith in itself. By fighting this necessary fight that we cannot afford to lose.
So … are you with me, or against us?

For that matter, they have the technology and materials to drop a nuclear tipped ballistic missile on the Norks before the end of this year. If they can put satellites in orbit...

So chamomile was out of the question.

Pro-Choice vs. Pro-Life

Everyone knows that "pro-choice" is doublespeak for "pro-abortion" and that "pro-life" is doublespeak for "anti-abortion," but I find the phrasing itself interesting. Is it not the case, assuming an issue has two sides, that every pro has a con? If you are pro- one thing, then you must be anti- its opposite. So if pro-choice and pro-life are the opposing sides on the abortion issue, then pro-choice must be anti-life, and pro-life must be anti-choice. Is it life in general that those who support abortion on demand oppose? I don't think so. Apparently, it is only the lives of unborn and unwanted babies that those of the pro-choice group are against. Is it choice in general that those who oppose abortion on demand are against? I don't think so. Apparently, it is only a woman's choice to kill an unborn and unwanted baby that the pro-life group opposes. It is certainly not a man's choice - in most states a man's wife can abort her baby and doesn't even have to notify her husband. (So much for "reproductive rights.") Are the two views mutually exclusive? I don't think it is possible to be pro-choice and pro-life at the same time, though many men dodge the question entirely with a logic something like, "I can't get pregnant so who am I to judge?" Many people, perhaps even a majority, would say that abortion isn't so bad if it's in the first few months, but an atrocity if done in the final months of pregnancy. Is this attitude both pro-choice and pro-life?

This chart comes from Rep. Steve King of Iowa. One problem with these numbers however: The figure for Iraq is not actually the "violent death rate". It is the rate of violent death from war. To get a "violent death rate" for Iraq one would need to add in the civil homicide rate. On the other hand, CNN and BBC do not distinguish between innocent "people" and terrorist "militants" normally, so maybe the numbers in the chart are accurate. Besides, terrorists (those blowing up and decapitating civilians in Iraq) are just criminals, right?

He is frustrated by the mentality of the average Iraqi in Baghdad, and I can't help but notice that the problems Iraqis face are, in some respect, similar to problems here in the US:

Kosovo was supposed to be the "good war," the one liberals didn't complain about hardly at all (compared to the screeching over Iraq - the "bad war"), the one where the US had moral authority, the war of the social worker. Absolutely no one could argue that Kosovo was a threat to US security prior to our going in and bombing the crap out of all those Serbs. Well, it is seven years later now, and guess what? Kosovo is now the slave-trade capital of Europe:

The Albanian mafia has set up a real cartel on prostitution. It handles more than 65 percent of the trafficking in women in the Balkans." From 2004: "In Kosovo, as many as 80 percent of internally trafficked victims are children."
The response of international bureaucrats to this disgrace is predictable: ignore it and hope nobody notices. Or even better, pretend all is going well, declare the mission a success -- and hand power over to the criminals as the new sovereign "government."
If that happens, even the minimal interference in the Kosovo-based gangs' operations will be removed. A criminal state not seen since the defunct Taliban regime in Afghanistan will be set up with easy proximity to the rest of Europe.

Here’s one I saw a number of years ago. It begins in the 1980s: Ronald Reagan is president, and we’re ramping up the rhetoric against Iran, which is involved in the Iran-Iraq war.

During the middle of the night (D.C. time), two Iranian MiGs paint a couple of American Navy Tomcats — who promptly splash the MiGs. They duly report up the chain that they engaged and shot down two Iranian fighter jets.

It’s relayed to the Pentaton, from there to the National Security Advisor, who talks to the White House Chief of Staff… and the pair decide not to wake the president, since the incident is over. Instead, they tell him as soon as he comes downstairs in the morning.

When the news heard about this, they went ape: this proves, they shrieked, that Reagan is just a doddering old man, asleep on watch and mentally negligible to begin with, who’s already senile and has delegated away all the presidential authority to low-level flunkies (such as F-14 pilots and RIOs). They had a field day with the “hands-off” president snoozing his way through his second term.

Flash forward about six years. Bill Clinton is president. This time, a pair of Iraqi jets light up a couple of USAF F-16 Fighting Falcons… and swiftly become a duet of smoking holes in the ground. This, too, happens at zero-dark-thirty Washington time.

Again, the various folks in la Casablanca decide (rightly) not to bother waking the president; the incident is over, and there’s nothing he can do about it now in any event. They tell Clinton in the morning.

The news heard about it… and (I know, you’re way ahead of me) they inform the American people in story after story how this proves that Clinton is such a great and well-respected Commander in Chief that he’s not afraid to leave such decisions to the boots on the ground… or in this case, the butts in the cockpit.

A great leader delegates, intones Jennings, Rather, and Brokaw in near unison.

During World War II, Stewart served as a bomber pilot, his service record crediting him with leading more than 20 missions over Germany, and taking part in hundreds of air strikes during his tour of duty. Stewart earned the Air Medal, the Distinguished Flying Cross, France’s Croix de Guerre, and 7 Battle Stars during World War II. In peace time, Stewart continued to be an active member of the Air Force as a reservist, reaching the rank of Brigadier General before retiring in the late 1950s.

Clark Gable (Mega-Movie Star when war broke out): Although he was beyond the draft age at the time the U.S. entered WW II, Clark Gable enlisted as a private in the AAF on Aug. 12, 1942, at Los Angeles. He attended the Officers’ Candidate School at Miami Beach, Fla. and graduated as a second lieutenant on Oct. 28, 1942. He then attended aerial gunnery school, and in Feb. 1943 he was assigned to the 351st Bomb Group at Polebrook where he flew operational missions over Europe in B-17s. Capt. Gable returned to the U.S. in Oct. 1943 and was relieved from active duty as a major on Jun. 12, 1944, at his own request, since he was over-age for combat.

Legal Analyst Mercedes Colwin Doesn’t think Mohammed cartoons are protected by the First Amendment. She said that because the cartoons “actively incite violence” the University was responsible for the attack since they allowed the cartoons to be printed. The NYT had pictures of 'abuse' at Abu Graib on their front page for three months specifically because it was inciting violence. I'm offended to the point of wanting to hurt somebody every day when I go into work and look at some of the nonsense taped to office doors. If we restrict speech to only that which can not incite violence, we wouldn't be able to say very much at all.

And on a separate but related issue:

This is simply too beneficial for the Democrats for it to be coincidence - there could very well be collusion, and that would make what the AP did a de-facto campaign contribution to the Democratic Party. I believe that such a donation - which would have to be figured as a value of tens of millions of dollars - would be illegal under our campaign finance laws.

We should have a full hearing in Congress, with the AP and the DNC forced to turn over all documents

I don't like the new campaign finance laws since they label my free expression as political speech which is banned 60 days before an election, but if they are going to enforce these idiotic laws, they need to enforce them for the AP, too.

Five minutes of CNN is all I can take

I don't know why the tv channel was on CNN but it was. I watched it for maybe five minutes while ironing a shirt a few minutes ago. Cafferty was on and he had some guy named Dean Baker, an "economic policy expert" from, according to Cafferty, a Washington DC "thinktank." The point of the report was how awful our healthcare system is, how we're paying too much, etc. So this Baker guy blasts the revamped Medicare program and calls for a health care "overhaul." Basically, this "expert" was on CNN to promote socialized healthcare; he kept saying how much better things are in other countries. Baker said that people in other countries, like Canada (his example), countries with socialized medicine, "live longer than we do" here in the US. He repeated this "fact" at least five times in the short segment before I'd had enough, found the remote and changed the channel. You see, this guy was lying his ass off as anyone who bothers to check can plainly see.

And I can't stand being lied to. The fact is, people in countries with socialized medicine are not living longer than those in the U.S. Period. CNN put Dean Baker on so he would say what they wanted him to say. The question I have is, can CNN not afford better propaganda?

Davis became the first black athlete to claim an individual gold medal in Winter Olympic history winning the 1,000-meter speedskating race. This is a milestone! First black person to win gold at Winter Olympics ever - and he is American! Doesn't this deserve some attention from the likes of CNN and the NYT? Apparently not. Why aren't the MSM making a big deal of this? Could this have anything to do with it? Or this?

As far as I can tell, the following is undisputed fact according to documents seized in Iraq in 2004:

On February 26th, 1993 the first world trade center was attacked by al-Qaeda and the EIJ (really two organizations that cooperated in 1993 and eventually merged).

A month later an official from EIJ was meeting with Saddam in Baghdad.

We have a document showing Saddam authorizing the IIS to “provide technical support” to the EIJ, and by extension, al-Qaeda.

And then al-Qaeda and the EIJ attacked the U.S. on September 11th, 2001 led by an Egyptian Jihadist, Mohammed Atta.

I know... plug your ears and sing "la la la la - I can't hear you!"

If rock-solid connections and actual *gasp* colaboration between Iraq under Saddam and al Qaeda were to ever come to light, those in power (i.e., the MSM) would be exposed as crooks and liars, so they'll do whatever they can to see that this information never sees the light of day. Unfortunately for them, if something is true it remains true regardless of how much one tries to hide it - sooner or later this will come out.
